Manufactured in 1951 during the transition period (late 1945 to 1951). Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Hooded ramp front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Polished bolt numbered to the gun, solid bolt knob, late safety and straight receiver tang. Mounted on a high comb pistol grip stock with checkering, sling swivels and checkered steel buttplate. The Winchester box is numbered to the gun with cardboard partitions.

Near new in box. The rifle retains 99% plus original blue finish showing only the slightest handling marks. The stock is also excellent with a few very scattered faint pressure marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with a couple repaired tears and a un-repaired tear on a lid long side with a split corner and overall wear.
