Manufactured in 1940. Red front bead sight and nickel mid bead sight on the solid rib, choked skeet, and 2 7/8 inch chamber. The left side of the barrel at the breech is marked with the "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL", "MADE IN U.S.A./-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK", MODEL12- 28 GA." with "2 7/8 CHAM." above and "SKEET" below the latter marking. The top of the frame and top left of the barrel at the breech are marked with the Winchester oval proof. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and breech end of the magazine extension with "SKEET" under the serial number on the frame. Mounted with a walnut extended checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and factory buttplate. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Excellent. The shotgun retains 97% plus original blue finish, showing only high edge wear and slight slide wear along the magazine tube. The wood is also excellent with a few minor dents and scratches, and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
