The A-10 American shotgun epitomizes what a truly fine shotgun should be. It is a very low profile, shallow frame full side lock over and under shotgun (not a box lock with side plates). This shotgun features a matte vent rib with a single red bead sight, chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells with ejectors and screw in Trulock choke system. The receiver is forged from a solid block of steel and plasma hardened. The side locks are very nicely engraved with game bird field scenes with a hunting dog and two quail on the left side and a hunting dog and a pheasant on the right side. The receiver, trigger guard, break lever and forearm hardware are engraved with very fine floral scroll and bouquet designs. The bottom of the receiver is marked "DELUXE" and "A-10/AMERICAN". The left rear of the upper barrel is marked "A-10 AMERICAN/20 GAUGE 2 3/4" and "CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO./N.B. CT. U.S.A." on the right side. The side locks are hand detachable. The internal parts that are subject to wear are "Hard Gold" treated adding years to the life of the shotgun. The barrels feature a "TuffBore" coating which makes them steel shot compatible. Gold single selective trigger, automatic tang mounted safety/selector and mounted with a multi-point checkered high gloss beautifully figured 2x American walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a solid Galazan recoil pad. There is a gold inset American eagle clutching two rifles on the underside, front of the forearm. The shotgun comes with the original Galazan hanging tag, five chokes and choke wrench. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches.
