Single bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib marked with the serial number on the underside of each barrel. The rib extension, locks, hammers, trigger guard, and forearm forend are engraved with floral leaf designs with a serpent on each lock. The locks are marked "JOSEPH MANTON & SON". Engraved pineapple trigger guard finial and ramrod tailpipe. Mounted on a one-piece checkered walnut straight grip half stock with, tear drop flats, an iron buttplate with engraved extended tang and silver thumb shield. Comes in a leather and oak case with brass hardware "C A.G." embossed on the outside of the lid, green felt lining with a "MANTON & Co." label affixed to the inside of the lid. In the case is a glass oiler, a brass powder measurer with wooden handle, wooden handled nipple wrench, shot flask, brass powder flask and a leather shot charger.

Good as partially refinished, the barrels, which retain most of the refurbished brown finish showing scattered minor pitting under the finish. Almost all of the Damascus twist pattern is visible. The remaining metal surfaces have a gray patina with minor pitting on the trigger guard and tang. The stock is excellent. The buttplate at the toe is a bit ill-fitting, otherwise there are a few scattered minor dents, handling marks and crisp checkering. The engraving and markings are clear. The action is fine. The case is good with remnants of old stickers on the exterior, as well as some edge wear. The leather straps are absent. The replacement lining is excellent, the lid is soiled and shows some tears. The shot flask has some moderate pitting, otherwise the accessories are very good.
