Produced without sights, with dot-engraved bands at the breech and the end of the octagonal barrel section, a pair of "crown/crossed scepter" stamps on the upper left flat, a sliding catch on the tang and a 5 3/4 inch single fuller triangular spike bayonet mounted on the muzzle. The frame is marked "THOMAS", with floral patterns on the screws and trigger guard and a pineapple finial. Smooth full length stock, with a horn tipped and extractor screw equipped hardwood ramrod and an unmarked silver inscription shield.

Very good, showing a mixed gray patina, areas of mild pitting and scattered handling marks. The touch hole is a bit high relative to the flash pan. Stock is good as repaired, with a section of professionally replaced wood at the tip, a few cracks, and mild chipping. The frizzen spring is weak, otherwise mechanically good.
