Description:

The locked is marked with a standing lion holding a crown, the left rear of the barrel is marked "S/crown/GP/crown/V" and there is an unrecognizable proof on the right rear ahead of the bolster. The left stock flat is marked "HEGLEY J B" upside-down just ahead of the screw and the same marking as on the lock to the rear of the flat. The barrel appears to have been bright and the lock and hammer casehardened. Brass mountings and mounted with a full length smooth walnut stock with a swivel style iron ramrod and large lanyard ring on the brass butt cap.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel has a gray patina that is lightly pitted. The lock and hammer show traces of faded original case colors and a smooth mottled gray patina on the balance. The brass has an aged patina (semi bright on the trigger guard). The stock is very good with some scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. The action is excellent.
