Manufactured from 1866 to 1869 with this example engraved. The pivoting barrel has a half moon front sight with the top flat marked "MERRIMACK ARMS & MFG CO/NEWBURYPORT, MASS./PATENTED APRIL 9, 1867" (trace remain). The frame has a floral scroll engraving covering the sides and on the back strap. Silver plated brass frame and blue finished barrel. The grips are smooth bone with a square butt. Barrel is numbered to the gun.

Poor. The barrel has a smooth gray patina with a couple patches of minor pitting. The frame has a smooth patina with a number of minor dings. The slightly shrunken grips are fine with hairline age cracks. Extractor does not retract properly, otherwise action is very good.
