Description:

Also known as the Kickup Model with an estimated 1,000 manufactured from 1864 to 1876, the Fish Tail single shot was Joshua Stevens' first work as an independent arms manufacturer, and elements of the design can be seen in Stevens handguns and rifles clear up into the 20th century. Silver blade front and hammer groove rear sights, with a checkered hammer, smooth trigger, no visible maker's markings and a pair of smooth grips with the signature "fish tail" butt profile.

Rating Definition:

Fair, mostly gray and brown patina overall, scattered spotting and mild handling marks. The grips are good, with mild dents and varnish loss. Mechanically very good.
