There were 2,000-3,000 manufactured between 1866 and 1878. The barrels are a 22 RF and a 32 RF. The barrels can be rotated to fire either barrel. The barrel flats are marked "AMERICAN ARMS CO . BOSTON, MASS." and "WHEELER'S PAT. OCT. 31. 1865-JUNE 10. 1866". Fitted with varnished grips with the right panel numbered to gun.

Very good. The barrels retain traces of original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The frame retains 30% original silver plating with the exposed brass having an attractive patina. The grips are excellent with some minor scratches and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically fine.
