Produced circa 1863-1870. Silver finished blade front and notch rear sights, with the Remington & Sons address on the left side of the barrel group and the Elliot patents marking on the right. Scroll engraving is present on top of the barrel group at the breech and muzzle and on the sides of the frame, with floral designs down the back strap and dotted checkerboards on the recoil shield and butt. Ring trigger, with internal rotating striker, "B" on the left side below the recoil shield, contoured butt, and smooth mother of pearl grip panels.

Good as period replated, showing 40% of the nickel, with areas of gray patina, mild pitting and handling marks. The grips are very good, slightly undersized on the left with a few superficial scratches. Mechanically very good.
