Catalog Page: 61
Class: Antique
Description:

Manufactured circa late 1840s to the early 1850s. The matching serial number is marked on the inside of the left side panel and on the barrels. The frame and back strap are decorated with broad scroll engraving. Semi-concealed hammer, folding trigger and fitted with smooth varnished walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Poor. The barrels have a dark patina with some minor flash pitting on the breech end. The barrel shield is absent. The frame retains traces of the original silver plating with a smooth mottled gray patina on the balance. The action needs work, the barrels do not lock up and they are out of time. The grips are also good with a couple small minor cracks, the right panel is a bit ill-fitting and there are a few minor dents.

All steel rounded frame with standard broad floral scroll engraving, fixed rear sight and two piece smooth bag shaped walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The pistol has a smooth gray patina. There are some tool marks on the octagon portion of the barrel and the front sight is absent. The grips are good with some minor dings and handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
