Description:

Blade front sight, three leaf rear sight, tang peep sight and full length magazine tube. The barrel has the two line address/patent date marking stamped on the top flat ahead of the rear sight, the nickel steel two line marking on the upper left behind the rear sight and "25-35 W.C.F." on the top barrel flat at the breech. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with iron forend cap and crescent buttplate. The included factory letter confirms the caliber, octagon barrel and plain trigger. The rifle was received in the warehouse on August 13, 1904 and shipped on September 22, 1904, order number 248693.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The hammer and lever retain traces of original case colors. The wood is fine with minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
