This New Model Navy rimfire cartridge revolver features a loading gate and an ejector rod on the right side. The barrel is numbered (183) to the gun. The top barrel flat has the two line patent date/address over "NEW MODEL" flanked by an engraving (a geometric pattern on the left and scrollwork on the right). The frame, back strap and left and right barrel flats feature a scroll and floral engraving with a punch dot background. The top strap, butt and upper left and right barrel flats feature a geometric engraving and the cylinder and trigger guard have a floral engraving. Fitted with smooth ivory grips.

Very good as partially refinished. The revolver has an artificial smooth gray patina showing traces of nickel finish in protected areas. Some traces of aged darkened silver remains on the trigger guard and underneath the loading lever on barrel. The undersized grip is very good with a small chip missing from the bottom and some hairline age cracks. The ivory has an attractive grain pattern and color. Mechanically fine.
