Description:

1) A Dixon & Sons 1883 patent reloading rammer or the Climax ramming machine, which is marked "DIXON & SONS PATENT" and is equipped with 10 adjustable rammers. Includes two press trays. The 12 gauge tray is Dixon marked and the 16 gauge is unmarked. 2) Two Erskine reloading boxes with a 4 pronged ramming tool. Both boxes have the distinctive Erskine badge. The block has provisions for 100 cartridges which allowed for a possible output of 500 cartridges an hour. 3) Unmarked reloading box (likely Erskine made) with a 100 cartridge block.

Rating Definition:

1) Very fine. The press retains most of the gloss green paint and the wooden handle having a long wide crack. Both trays show a mixed patina on the brass and a number of minor handling/storage marks. 2) One box is good showing a few long cracks and numerous handling/storage marks and wear associated with its age. The other box is very good with some minor handling/storage marks and wear. 3) Good with a few long cracks and a number of minor handling/storage marks. Great additions to an antique shotgun collection.
