Manufactured in 1946 during the transition period (late 1945 to 1951). Hooded ramp front sight, filler block in the rear sight dovetail slot and Lyman receiver sight (stock inletted to accommodate the sight). Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the receiver and barrel. Pre-war safety, polished bolt, polished bolt numbered to the gun and sling swivels. Checkered straight comb pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine. The carbine retains 85% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina (mostly on the buttplate). The refinished stock is very fine with a few very scattered mild handling marks and overall crisp re-cut checkering. Mechanically excellent.
