This custom Model 1885 features a replacement heavy barrel as manufactured without sights. The upper left barrel flat has been marked with the Winchester two line address ahead of the front scope base and "22 CAL" engraved marking at the breech. The barrel is equipped with an 8 power Lyman Junior Target Spot scope with adjustable rear mount, recoil spring and screw on lens caps. The upper tang is marked with the three line trade mark/maker patent marking and there is no serial number. Blue barrel and casehardened remaining parts. It has been fitted with a custom/replacement lever and custom double set triggers and mounted with a nicely figured new made checkered walnut forearm with ebony forend insert and palm rest with walnut handle, and a new made deluxe walnut checkered pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap, high comb cheekpiece and bright Schuetzen buttplate.

Fine as modified/assembled (see above) and refinished, the casehardened parts. The barrel retains 98% bright blue finish. The remaining parts retain 98% refinished case colors. The wood is very fine with most of the varnish remaining and showing some minor handling marks. The buttplate has dulled with age and shows some moderate oxidation. The markings are clear. The action is fine. The scope is very good with some normal usage wear and clear optics.
