Description:

This is an excellent example of an all original, Walther Model PPK Party Leader pistol with the rare Party Leader grips. This outstanding pistol is accompanied by the original WWII capture papers dated December 1945, indicating that this pistol was captured by 1st Lt. Darrell Sinn. When these grips were installed on PPKs they were officially known as the "Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders", and were presented only to high ranking Nazi officers of the NSDAP for meritorious service to the Nazi Party. The grips themselves are a one-piece wraparound, mottled brown plastic grip that has the distinctive large Nazi Eagle clutching a Swastika encircled by a wreath at the top on both sides with the balance of the grip having impressed checkering. The slide is marked with the Walther Banner followed by the two line, Walther legend and caliber followed by "Mod. PPK.". Inside the slide it is lightly scribed with the matching last three digits (857) of the serial number. The pistol has the "Crown/N" commercial proofmarks, stamped on the right side of the slide, frame and barrel. The pistol has a 60 degree safety lever, cartridge indicator pin and lanyard loop on the bottom of the frame. It is complete with an original Walther marked magazine with the brown plastic finger extension. Party Leader grips will be found on Walther PPKs in the 174,000K to 234,965K serial number range, indicating this example falls right at the end of the noted range.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish overall with minor edge and high spot wear on the front of the slide, and front edge of the trigger guard bow. The original grips are in excellent condition with nice sharp distinct Nazi Eagles on the sides with only a slight amount of warpage on the lower front edges of the grips. This is one of the finest Nazi Walther PPK Partly Leader pistols we have had to offer.
