This is an excellent example of a WWI German Erfurt Luger pistol manufactured in 1912. The chamber is dated 1912, with the standard "Crown/ERFURT" marking on top of the front toggle. "Crown" over script letter proofs are present on a number of components, "Imperial Eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension, breechblock and toggle pin, and the "crown/RC" revision commission stamp is present on the extension, toggles and trigger guard. Full matching numbers are present on the barrel, extension and frame, with matching partial numbers on the takedown latch, side plate, trigger, sear, safety, hold-open, breechblock and firing pin. Additionally, the nickel finished magazine is marked "7834", with two small "crown/letter" proofs. Comes with a brown leather flap holster, which contains a "crown/3" marked tool and is stamped "AWM/3/11/1.U.R./1912" on the front.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% of the original blue finish, showing some mild edge wear, scattered handling marks, and a few small areas of gray patina. The small parts retain 80% original straw color. The grips are very fine with some minor pressure dents on the otherwise sharp checkering. The holster is very good with minor scuffs, cracks and stains, along with sharply defined markings and tight stitching. Mechanically excellent.
