Black wool construction with a black velvet band, white piping, a silver chinstrap and a layered black and brown visor. The proper SS Eagle and Totenkopf badges are secured to the front. The interior of the cap is fitted with a brown leather sweatband, brown rayon lining, and a plastic covered leather sweat diamond marked in gold "A.M.Drees/IBBENBUREN/Hute-Mutzen/Pelzwaren". According to the author, private purchase visors like this example lacked RAM and SS marks because they were tailor made, not made by the RZM manufacturer.
