This is a WWII Remington Arms Model 1903A4 Sniper Rifle that was manufactured in the first block of serial numbers, in 1943 that was later refurbished for Korea. These rifles were the standard WWII sniper rifle that also saw limited service again in Korea and even into Vietnam. The receiver is marked "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" on the left and "3407861" on the right side. The top of the barrel is marked "RA/Ordnance Bomb/2-44", indicating it has a later GI replacement barrel. It has a WWII Redfield, square end scope base that is fitted with the Weaver, M73B1 sniper scope in a set of parkerized rings. The scope has the standard cross-hair reticle and is marked "TELESCOPE M73B1/PATS. PEND./W.R. WEAVER CO./EL. PASO TX.", with the right side of the scope body marked "TELESCOPE" and etched next to that is number "24179". The rifle has a stamped, parkerized trigger guard and barrel bands with an original blued sniper rifle bolt assembly. The bolt is stamped with a small "R" on the underside of the bolt handle. The rifle is fitted with the later pattern scant stock. The left side is marked with a boxed "CSAA" and a partially visible "RA/Ordnance Crossed-cannon Cartouche/FJA" inspector marks. There is a B over a double circled "P" proof on the inside of the pistol grip. It is complete with a commercial brown leather sling and reproduction leather scope caps.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 95% of the thin arsenal parkerized finish remaining overall with edge and high spot wear with minor blue loss on the bolt body from cycling. The stock and handguard are both in fine condition with a nice original medium brown color and minor handling marks overall, with a couple of slightly heavier pressure dents/bruises. The scope retains 95% of the blue finish with clear optics that are a little hazy. A nice example of a WWII Remington M1903A4 sniper rifle.
