Description:

Manufactured in 1943. Single brass bead sight on the 6-hole heat shield/bayonet lug, with a cylinder-marked choke, 2 3/4 inch chamber and standard markings, including the ordnance bomb stamp on top of the barrel and "U.S. (ordnance bomb)" on the right side of the frame. Fitted with an 18-groove forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock, with a rear sling swivel, checkered plastic buttplate and a 13 3/8 inch length of pull.

Rating Definition:

Very good as assembled, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, gray along the high edges, and scattered spotting and handling marks. The handguard is a refinished modern replacement. Stock is good, with a chip absent from the toe of the buttplate and scattered dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
