Description:

The receiver was manufactured in early 1928. The barrel is stamped with a star on the muzzle, with "S A/flaming bomb/12- 27" behind the standard front sight and with the star gauge number "B/1335" on the bottom. The bolt is stamped "W L/3" on the top flat of the bolt knob and is electropenciled "1285375" on top of the polished bolt body. There is a Lyman peep sight mounted to the right rear of the receiver. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with circled "P" proof on the front of the pistol grip, two reinforcing bolts and a cupped steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, 85% plus of the original blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches along with muzzle and high edge wear. The stock is also very fine with scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
