This shotgun was manufactured in 1893 with the standard engraving style showing game birds in an oval on the sides and bottom of the receiver with flourishes of floral scroll engraving. The barrels have a single steel bead sight, are choked improved modified/improved modified and have 2 5/8 inch chambers with an extractor. The bottom of the barrels are stamped with the frame size "2" and with the barrel weight 4 pounds 15 ounces. Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, initial shield and checkered hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Fine, the barrels retain strong traces of the original brown finish with much of the Damascus pattern visible. There are some patches of minor pitting on the barrels. The casehardened components have a smooth gray patina with strong traces of the original vivid case colors in the protected areas. The wood is also fine with scattered scratches and dings, a small hairline crack at the top tang and a sanded chip at the toe. Mechanically fine with barrels slightly off face.
