Manufactured in early 1940. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN" and the left side of the side is marked "COLT" followed by the two line caliber marking and the Rampant Colt. The serial number is on the front strap. The mainspring housing is lined to show that it was designed for high velocity ammunition. Elevation adjustable blade front sight and windage adjustable rear sight, blue Colt woodsman marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, and some thinning on the barrel and grip straps. The grips are excellent with only light handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
