Manufactured in 1940. The left side of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN" and the left side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is stamped on the front strap. Elevation adjustable replacement front sight with a brass bead and windage adjustable rear sight. Blue finish, blue Colt Woodsman marked magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% plus original blue finish with some mild muzzle and edge wear, and mild thinning on the barrel and back strap. Overall there are a few light scratches and handling marks. The grips are also excellent with very crisp checkering. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent.
