This WWII K98 Mauser type bolt action rifle has been converted/assembled into a double claw type sniper rifle. The top of the front and rear receiver rings have been fitted with a set of commercial double claw scope bases that have cross-hatch checkering on top of both bases. Fitted with a commercial scope with adjustable focus, that is fitted with a set of semi-circle commercial rings. The rear of the scope tube is marked "HENSOLDT-WETZLER/DIALYTAN 4X 24152" and with a reproduction set of leather lens caps. The receiver ring is covered with the front and rear scope bases with the left and right side of the base, restamped with various Nazi Eagle/Waffenamt proofs. The receiver side wall markings were removed and has been (spuriously) remarked "G29/40". Fitted with a Czech VZ24 K98 barrel that has a single Eagle firing proof, serial number "7563" and a small Czech circle Z BRNO proof mark. The stock and handguard are also from a Czech VZ-24 rifle and barrel bands and complete trigger guard assembly are milled and fitted with a correct style double set trigger assembly. With an original cross-hatched leather sling.

Good as assembled with 75% of the refinished blue overall with the exposed metal showing more finish wear. The stock and handguard have a nice dark brown color overall showing numerous scratches and light pressure dents and dings. The scope and scope mounts are excellent with 95% of the blue finish with clear sharp markings. The optics are crystal clear and the elevation knob works correctly.
