This is an excellent original example of a late WWII German P38 pistol manufactured by Mauser. The left side of the slide is marked with "P.38" followed by "byf/44" which was the wartime code for the Mauser factory. The serial number is marked just ahead of the safety lever. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number followed by the "eagle/ WaA135" proof. The right side of the slide has the single eagle firing proof and the two "eagle/ WaA135" acceptance proofs. The right side of the locking block also has the same "eagle/135" acceptance proof, while the left side is marked with a single eagle firing proof, and the bottom is marked "946/t". Fitted with brown ribbed bakelite grips with a single wartime magazine marked "jvd" on the left side. It is complete with a mid-war P-38 holster marked "P-38" and "joa/1943/WaA706" and one spare blue magazine.

Excellent. The pistol retains 99% of the crisp original blue finish showing some minor edge and high spot wear and some light surfaces scratches. The grips are also excellent. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is excellent with tight stitching and clear distinct markings on the back.
