The remainder of the receiver is engraved with flourishes of floral scroll or oak leaf and acorn engraving. There is a bead front sight, a flip up rear sight leaf and claw mounts holding a Hensoldt Wetzlar Duralyt 2 3/4x scope serial number 6780. Fitted with two single set triggers and a tang mounted safety. The water table of the frame is stamped with an "Eagle/N" proofmark. The underside of the barrel is stamped with the date "29.6.42" for June 29th, 1942 and on the bottom flat of the barrel is double stamped "OTTO SCHNEIDER ZELLA". A quick internet search reveals an Otto Schneider that was a Captain in the Waffen SS. He was reported missing in action in April of 1945 and was held in Soviet captivity until 1949. Mounted on a multi-point checkered three piece walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a raised right handed cheekpiece, horn trigger guard, horn grip cap and a serrated horn buttplate. With 1 full box (20/20) of Norma 7x57R ammo, 1 partial box (13/20) of Norma 7x57R ammo, 93 pieces of 7X57R unprimed brass and 8 pieces of 7x57R primed brass.

Rating Definition:

Professionally refinished (barrels), the barrels retain 95% of the blue finish with scattered scratches, dings and some minor freckling. The coin finished receiver has a gray appearance with sharp engraving. The wood is very good with scattered scratches, dings and wear. Mechanically fine. The scope is also very good with clear optics.
