Description:

Manufactured circa 1902-1904. Rocky Mountain German silver blade front sight and adjustable sporting rear sight, with the two-line address and patent dates ahead of the rear sight and "SAV. 303" behind. The receiver is fitted with a bolt-mounted firing pin indicator, cartridge counter, and a casehardened lever with "bulls-eye" pattern sliding catch. Smooth straight wrist stock with a Schnabel tip forearm and smooth buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, showing 97% of the bright original blue, with some brown streaking on the receiver and mild handling marks overall. Bright and vivid color is present on the sides of the lever, showing a smooth brown and gray on other areas. A few small filled areas are visible on the revarnished buttstock, with some shallow grain cracks. Mechanically excellent.
