Description:

This is a tan box with a green picture label on the lid marked in the upper left corner "Trade Mark/H" followed by "50 CARTRIDGES 44/100" over "STETSON'S PATENT OCT. 24th 1871/FOR THE/WINCHESTER REPEATING RIFLE" with the Winchester address and a depiction of a Flat Nose round at the bottom.

Rating Definition:

The right side of the box has a loose section, but it is otherwise in good shape with a complete and legible label. The ammunition has a powdery lead carbonate and some aging to the brass. Overall, a nice, complete package of vintage Winchester ammunition that would be great for a cartridge collection or for display with a compatible Henry or Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action Longarm.
