The barrel is fitted with a fixed front sight and a folding ladder rear sight that lays against the top of the breech block and is graduated to "9" (900 yards). It also has the correct two-click tumbler, two-piece trigger guard and is mounted with a replaced walnut half stock with a saddle ring and bar mounted on the left flat and a "US" marked carbine buttplate. It includes a leather scabbard that the consignor notes indicate only fits this rifle.

Rating Definition:

Very good as assembled/refinished. The carbine retains half of the reblued finish overall with the finish thinning to form a golden brown patina on the barrel, and the lock plate, hammer, and breechblock feature the dark oil quenched case colors finish with some oxidation and minor pitting. The markings are sharp. It has various marks, scratches, dings, and some minor pitting with the trigger guard and buttplate remaining mostly bright. The replaced stock was pieced behind the upper tang, is not fitted flush at the lower tang, and has some minor dings, scratches, and marks.
