Description:

According to factory records (photocopy of letter included) this revolver was shipped to the Massachusetts Arms Company on April 25, 1889. Raised bead front and adjustable "U" notch rear sights, with the Maltese cross and two line address/patent markings on top of the rib, matching number on the cylinder, casehardened hammer, trigger, and trigger guard, and a set of smooth mother of pearl grips. The revolver was subsequently returned to the factory in December of 1946 and so marked on the inside of the left grip frame "12-46" along with a diamond. The butt of the revolver is also stamped with the 5 point factory re-work star.

Rating Definition:

Very good as factory restored with 98% of the blue finish, showing some bright edge wear and mild handling marks. Traces of the case pattern are visible on the hammer and trigger guard, with the remainder silvering out. Grips are very good, with light chipping. Mechanically very good.
