Dovetailed German silver blade front and notch rear sights with a "P" and "DERINGER/PHILADELA'' on the breech between silver bands. The barrel shows Derringer's signature striped finish; designed to emulate Damascus twist this finish is typically the first thing to go on an antique Derringer. The Derringer marking is repeated on the lock with scroll engraving on the tang, hammer, lock and bolster. Checkered birds head grip with German silver furniture with scroll engraving on the trigger guard, reverse and accent plates, blossom designs on the escutcheons, pineapple trigger guard finial, and a straight line bordered inscription shield and buttplate.

Excellent. The barrel shows 90% of the original brown finish with some smooth fading in the center of the top flats, a small amount of spotting, and well defined striping. Vivid case color is present on the breech and on the protected areas of the hammer, otherwise showing a mixed dark gray patina with traces of the original pattern. A crack runs from the left wedge escutcheon to the tip, otherwise the stock is good, with some light dents and wear. Mechanically excellent.
