Description:

This interesting flintlock longarm is small and light enough to be used by a child and is awkward for a grown man to aim. It has a short barrel and stock that is in total only forty two inches long with sling loops that are only about twenty inches apart. It is fitted with a fixed front sight and lightly engraved lockplate with brass forend cap, ramrod tubes, sideplate, trigger guard, and buttplate. The upper buttplate tang is marked "1808" vertically with "Geo Allen" horizontally.

Rating Definition:

Good. The otherwise very good stock is revarnished. Mechanically fine. The gun features a mottled brown patina with an attractive aged patina on the brass.
