This unique, high art Algerian flintlock pistol with Circassian walnut stock features plain and chiseled silver mounts and silver and coral inlays. The top of the round barrel is flat and silver inlaid adornments on the barrel breech and barrel tang. The silver trigger guard exhibits a zig zag line pattern and the five silver barrel bands are plain with the wide sixth band at the muzzle having a chiseled floral pattern. A floral engraving is on the lock plate and hammer. "II II" is marked on the lock plate. The silver ramrod features a relief floral pattern which matches the pattern on the front barrel band. The engraved and open pattern silver side plate incorporates three inlaid pieces of coral. The full length of the back of the grip area is adorned with an engraved opened silver pattern incorporating inlaid pieces of coral (note that the two pieces of coral on the right side of the barrel tang are a different color). The nicely figured stock has a silver buttcap.

Good. The barrel and action have a smooth gray patina with some scattered mild pitting. The silver is fine and most of the coral inlays remain. The stock is fair with some chipping, some putty filler near the buttcap and some scattered minor handling marks. The action retracts half way, although needs work.
