This Mediterranean rat tail flintlock pistol features a silver geometric pattern on top of the rear barrel section and ornate chiseled silver mounts. The silver mounts include the wide barrel band (4 3/4 inches long) at the muzzle, buttcap, trigger guard, and plates tacked to the left stock flat and top of the stock around and behind the barrel tang. A light engraving is featured on the barrel breech, barrel tang and lock plate. Two proofmarks are stamped on the left barrel side. Silver reinforcing wire is wrapped around the mid-section of the grip. The iron ramrod is adorned with silver at the tip.

Good. The pistol has a bright mottled patina with traces of original blue in the protected areas found on the barrel. There is some mild pitting. The silver is fine. The repaired stock (at the forearm) is fine with a couple hairline cracks and some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
