Origin unknown, appears English in design, with a measuring wheel incremented from 1 to 10, floral engraved frame, and a checkered bag shaped grip with floral accents.

Fair, with a gray patina overall, flash pitting around the nipple and muzzle, and some light handling marks overall. The grip is good as repaired, with a pin-secured chip and mild dents. Mechanically very good.

2 1/2 inches in overall length, with a 1 1/2 inch mounting screw, marked "S. COON/PATENT/SEP. 22. 1857." on one side, "MADE FOR R.M. PATCHIN/SPRINGFIELD ILL." on the reverse.
