Manufactured in 1954. With ramped and hooded front sight and sight blank in place of rear sight. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the receiver and on the barrel toward the breech end. A non-factory Lyman 56 peep sight is mounted directly to the receiver. Mounted to a nicely figured walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and forearm, with a checkered steel buttplate, and black plastic "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO" grip cap . Includes reproduction box, with sling swivels, sling, and papers.

Very fine as partially refinished (wood), with 95% plus original finish, and some small handling marks on barrel, and some slight scratches on the underside of the receiver. Stock is fine, with a coat of protective varnish applied, with some small handling marks and pressure indentations. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good as a reproduction. Sling is very good, with some verdigris around metal fittings.
