Exceptional pre-war Nazi Mauser Luger dated "1939" over the chamber and marked "42" on top of the toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the double "Eagle/63" proofs next to the "Eagle/swastika" firing proof, with the same firing proof on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. A smaller "eagle/63" is on the upper left rear of the barrel. Standard military style serial numbering with full serial number on main components with the last two digits on the smaller parts with standard safety and extractor markings and standard sights. It is fitted with standard walnut grips that are unnumbered on the back with the left one have a small "Eagle/655" Waffenamt proof. As noted this Luger is complete with two matching all blued, unmarked, stamped and folded magazines, with the aluminum bases marked as follows; "8296/t/Eagle 63 and 8296/t/Eagle 63/+". This pistol is also accompanied by a fantastic, exception condition 1939 date brown Luger holster marked on the back, "CARL ACKVA/BADKREUZNACH/1939/WaA286" and is complete with a blued Luger take down tool marked with a single "Eagle/63" Waffenamt proof.

Excellent overall with 98% plus of the original blue finish with only high spot holster wear. The grips are also in excellent condition with minor handling marks. The holster is also in excellent condition with a excellent smooth brown leather finish with clear sharp markings on the back and tight stitching throughout, with some minor scuffing in some places and some very minor wrinkling or age cracking on the front strap, other wise this is one of the best brown 1939 date holsters this describer has seen. As noted this pistol has all matching numbers except the grips as noted above, to include both magazines. Overall this is one of the best 1939 dated "42" code P.08 Luger pistols we have seen in a long time.
