Description:

Manufactured in 1873, the introductory year for the New Line 22 revolver. Fixed sights, with the two line address on top of the barrel, "22 CAL" on the left side of the frame, checkered hammer, spur trigger, and smooth birds head grips. Over half of the surface is covered in engraving, with starbursts on the cylinder and behind the hammer, checkerboard patterns on the barrel sides, and punch-dot backed scrollwork on the sides of the frame. With a pair of mother of pearl grips.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with 70% of the period replated nickel finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the cylinder, light flaking, high edge wear and scattered handling marks. Well aged brass is visible on the high points of the frame. Grips are very good, with some minor chips around the grip screw. Mechanically excellent.
