Manufactured in 1933. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line address/1884, 1900 and 1905 patent dates, the left side is marked "NEW SERVICE 44-40" and the Rampant Colt appears on the left side of the frame. The matching serial number is marked on the frame and crane. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, all blue finish with hammer sides polished and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in an oval at the top. Comes with the original maroon two-piece box numbered to the gun and "Special Instructions" pamphlet.

Near new in original box. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish with a faint cylinder drag line and light handling/storage marks. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The box is fine with two separated corners on the lid, part of the end label absent and some material loss.
