Description:

Manufactured 1875-1912. Large italic "-COLT-" on top of the barrel, and a "crown/V" and "crown/GP" on the underside. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame under the grip and on the underside of the barrel is marked with the partial serial number "814" and the letter "C". The left side of the frame is marked "41 CAL" and with a "C" followed by the Rampant Colt (Von Oppen mark?). Blade front sight, blue barrel, nickel plated brass frame, casehardened hammer and niter blue trigger. Fitted with smooth walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The frame retains 80% original silver plating with an aged patina on the exposed brass. The hammer retains 90% of the original case colors. The grips are excellent with almost all of the original varnish remaining, showing some minor dings and dents. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
