Description:

Manufactured circa 1870-1890, having at some point passed through the Proof House of London. German silver blade front and hammer notch rear sights, with the two line address and "NO 2" on top, flanked by Maltese crosses, and "41 CAL" on the right side of the frame. Matching numbers, with a pair of "crown/ V" and "crown/ GP" proofs on the bottom of the barrel. There is light scroll engraving on both sides and top of the frame, and "J.P/22661" is stamped on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Good, with traces of the original blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina overall, with mild handling marks and some shallow pitting. The grips are also good, with a thin crack in the left panel, mild varnish loss and some light dings. Mechanically fine.
