Type: Pistol
Gauge: 22
Barrel: 1 3/8 inch 4 barrel cluster
Finish: nickel
Grip: metal
Stock:
Item Views: 1808

Catalog Page: 39
Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Manufactured between 1901 and 1915, with a total production of only several thousand. The left side of the pistol is marked "UNIQUE/C.S. SHATUCK ARMS CO./HATFIELD, MASS.". This is the correct markings for the pistol, as the toolmaker misspelled Shattuck with a single "T" on the marking die. The matching serial number "729" (9 stamped over a 1) is on the breech face of the barrel group and frame. The steel barrel group tips down for loading and unloading and there is an ejection rod stored in a compartment in the right side of the frame. All nickel finish, except for the blue finished barrel latch.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 70% original nickel finish with a smooth gray patina on the top and back of the frame and flaking on the left side plate. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
