This is an exceptional example of a U.S. Military National Postal Meter M1 Carbine with "U" subcontractor mark stamped on the rear top of receiver behind the serial number. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with a "10-43" dated Underwood barrel, Type I barrel band, flat top bolt, milled trigger guard, "SN" pushbutton safety and "NS" marked magazine catch. High wood stock, with 2-rivet handguard, oval oiler cutout, "TRIMBLE/TN" in the sling cut, "NPM/FJA" and Ordnance cartouches on the right side, tan canvas sling and checkered buttplate.

Excellent, with 98% of the correct original finish, showing a few light handling marks overall. The bolt also retains 98% blue. Stock is also excellent, with a few small chips and dents overall, along with an attractive grain pattern on the butt. Markings all sharp. Mechanically excellent.
