One of around 3300 made between 1864 and 1872. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "WM. W. MARSTON/PATENTED/MAY 26. 1857/NEW YORK CITY/IMPROVED 1864" on the left side of the frame, and the selector/indicator knob and 3-prong extractor on the right. Matching numbers are present on the frame, barrel, and grips. The rear sight doubles as the barrel latch. Smooth spur trigger, checkered hammer.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel shows traces of the original blue finish, concentrated on the right side, with a mixed gray patina overall. Over 70% of the original silver is present on the frame, with a well aged patina on both the silver and the exposed brass. Grips are very good, with some dings and flat spots. Mechanically fine.
