Description:

Constructed from black anodized aluminum with darkened brass components. The arm bears Bureau of Ships markings along with a 1940 date, the makers address, a spring loaded-quick-swivel lever and a fine adjustment screw. Fitted with seven sunshades (3 bottom, 4 top), telescopic eyepiece, and a hardwood handle. With a hardwood case, fine-adjustment tool, and 1942 Naval Observatory certificate.

Rating Definition:

Fine with light wear and handling marks overall. The optics and reflectors are in good order, and some mild bubbling is visible on the sunshades. Case is good. Adjustment mechanisms mechanically very good.
