Production was limited to slightly over 100 of this model. Manufactured by Colt as a 3rd Model Dragoon. Equipped with a blade front sight and hammer notch rear sight, checkered hammer and smooth trigger, un-fluted six shot cylinder, and smooth hardwood grips. The barrel and cylinder have extensive gold etching. The left side of the barrel is inlaid in gold "Garibaldi Special Edition" and is bordered with a gold scroll, and followed by a gold inlaid map of Italy, also with a gold scroll border. The barrels right side is gold inscribed with "Born JULY 4, 1807 Nice / Died JUNE 2, 1882 Caprera" , followed by an inlaid map of South America that is again bordered in gold scroll. The gold inlaid cylinder depicts the likeness of Colt and Garibaldi followed by the likeness of them shaking hands over a table displaying the revolver. Includes original Colt box, numbered to the gun, and papers.

Near new in original box, with minimal handling marks. Box is very good, with some wear on edges and corners. Mechanically excellent.
