Description:

According to a letter from Jim Powell, inventor of the Sierra Madre/Powell Knife Pistol, this item was the set-up prototype for the limited edition Kiowa Collector Series knife pistol. In addition to being used as a test-bed for the decoration method (taking a line drawing by artist David Cannon, converting it into a computerized vector file, and then laser engraving it onto the metal and wood), it was also fitted with an experimental red anodized safety lever that was not used for the series as a whole. Due to these differences, it was assigned a unique serial number. Measuring 12 inches long with a 5 3/4 inch knife blade, the mechanical features are standard for the 45 ACP Sierra Madre, with a eagle feather pattern on the blade flats, screaming eagle heads on the sides of the barrel, lightning bolt and zig-zag/dot patterns on the frame, radiant burst patterns on the hammer, trigger and grip safety, and a mixture of feathers and dots on the grip panels. With the aforementioned letter, another document covering the decoration process, a glass-topped display case and a spent 45 ACP cartridge.

Rating Definition:

Near new in case with a few light handling marks.
