Description:

Manufactured in 1890. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A/PATENTED MAY 29. SEPT. 18. 1883 MAY 26. 85. JUNE 15. 86.FEB. 22. 87.", "44 Cal" is marked on the left rear. The Rampant Colt appears on the left side of the frame, and the serial number on the lower tang. The carbine has the standard iron front and folding carbine rear sights. A saddle ring and staple with a leather strap are mounted on the left side of the receiver. Blue barrel and magazine tube with nickel on the remaining parts and mounted with a checkered walnut forearm and smooth straight grip stock with steel carbine buttplate. Included is a factory letter dated August 15th, 2012, stating that no shipping information could be located on the carbine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as completely restored, including the markings, to near mint condition with some light scratches on the receiver from the saddle ring, and overall some light handling/storage marks.
